With lamps waiting to be lit and laughter leaping around, our canvas of culture turns even more radiant and ravishing this Diwali. So, my dear readers, get ready to shimmer, because at Tale of a Trend, we follow- “Don’t burn patakas, be a pataka!” Grab your coffee or a cocktail and scroll down to witness our fashion fireworks, brimming with latkas and jhatkas, each look bursting with festive glamour.
Olive Opulence- The Southern Soirée
I’m leading the blog with my choice of saree and jewellery! But don’t blink, hold your gaze, because this celebration belongs to all our incredible fashionistas!
In this look, I’ve draped a resplendent South Silk Kanchipuram saree in a stunning interplay of emerald and crimson hues. The weave is characterized by its traditional checks, rich zari borders and fine base texture. Thus, reflecting the masterful craftsmanship of Tamil Nadu’s weaving heritage. The contrasting deep maroon-red blouse, rich in zari and texture, adds depth and vibrance to the drape, completing its regal aesthetic.
Adorning this ensemble is a magnificent temple-style necklace featuring Goddess Lakshmi at the center- a divine symbol of prosperity and strength. The earrings carry the same sacred motif, completing the look with an aura of grace and timeless devotion. Paired with antique gold bangles, statement rings and a classic watch, this look embodies an elegant blend of tradition and individuality, with Goddess Lakshmi symbolizing abundance and grace at its heart.
A must have Lakshmi Mata inspired jewellery for Diwali, celebrating devotion, glory and grandeur!

Lavender Luxe- The Loomed Legacy
Lavishly draped in a lavender Banarasi saree, she embodies legendary grace and timeless artistry. The drape features fine silk interwoven with golden zari and delicate floral motifs. A reflection of Banaras’ finest craftsmanship and the sophistication of its master weavers.
The soft pastel tone of the saree finds harmony with temple-style jewellery accentuated by pink gemstones. A statement necklace rests gracefully along the neckline, while the earrings mirror the same divine craftsmanship, adding depth and character to the look. Antique bangles and a round statement ring complete the ensemble, creating a refined balance between tradition and modern femininity. An apt look for festive glamour!
Muse- Kirti Bhartiya

Scarlet Symphony
Adorned in the timeless grandeur of a red Banarasi saree, this ensemble embodies the pure essence of Indian craftsmanship. Woven with intricate zari motifs in gold, the luxe silk saree showcases the royal sheen and age-old artistry of Varanasi weavers. Here each thread narrates a tale of devotion and precision. The golden blouse beautifully complements the lustrous drape, enhancing its grace further.
Traditional temple jewellery- a maang tikka, jhumkas, elaborate floral necklace, and ornate kadas, further accentuate the look. This ostentatious visual is the true reflection of the splendour of handcrafted heritage and workmanship of Sanmati Jewellers.
A golden moment of cultural splendour!!

Brilliance in Black
Embraced in a magnificent black Banarasi saree, she exudes a quiet regality that speaks of timeless allure. The saree is woven in lustrous silk, richly detailed with intricate zari motifs that trace floral and vine patterns across the drape. Each thread celebrates the grandeur of Banaras craftsmanship defining luxury in its most authentic form. The striking colour contrast, embodies the festive glamour spirit with soulful saree.
Complementing the opulent weave is traditional gold jewellery in its finest form! A bold Surya pendant resting at the centre, wide choker layers enhancing the neckline and intricate earrings completing the ensemble. Together, they echo the essence of royal Indian aesthetics, where heritage meets magnificence.

Border, Banaras and Grandeur
Veiled in deep plum silk with a resplendent Banarasi border, she radiates effortless grace and royal charm. The saree’s plain silk body allows the zari border to shine in all its glory, a striking interplay of simplicity and opulence that defines the legacy of Banaras craftsmanship.
The look is adorned with a broad gold choker and a long necklace with geometrical pendant, both echoing timeless artistry. Traditional bangles and delicate earrings complete the ensemble, celebrating the elegance of Indian heritage with regal aura.
