Style your Handloom Saree 2025
A saree woven by hand, draped by heart!!
Greetings of the National Handloom Day, dear fashion enthusiasts and handloom connoisseurs!
With great pride and heartfelt enthusiasm, we marked National Handloom Day with a celebration that truly moved tradition in strides – Style Your Handloom Saree 2025.

This unique initiative is organized by the National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC) and Redefining the Roots Welfare Association (an initiative by Tale of a Trend), with valuable support from the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles. It brought together students from diverse institutions to showcase live saree draping skills, followed by a graceful ramp walk, turning every fold into a frame of culture and creativity.
Adding a tender touch to the celebration, Style Your Handloom Saree 2025 also welcomed mother-daughter duos. They together revived memories, shared stories and celebrated the timeless charm of handloom sarees. Thus, weaving generations together, one drape at a time.
The spirit of the event was further elevated by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, whose encouragement and insights lent inspiration to every participant.

Handloom Hugs: A Mother, a Daughter and a Runway Woven with Love
And amidst the vibrant highlights and illustrious guests, a tender scene unfolded, a moment I can only call Handloom Hugs.

A mother–daughter duo from Ambala graced the ramp at Style Your Handloom Saree 2025, draped in beautiful handloom sarees that spoke of heritage with every step. Their coordinated walk was more than a showcase — it was a celebration of generational bonds. Later, the young daughter returned to the spotlight with a graceful dance performance in her saree, earning heartfelt appreciation from everyone.

The Tangail Tale of Handloom
The model showcases the elegance of a Tangail saree, reflecting Bengal’s celebrated weaving tradition. The weave carries fine, small woven motifs, crafted through the extra-weft technique, highlighting the artistry of Tangail. Woven in a soft cotton-silk blend, the drape is lightweight yet lustrous.
The look is elevated as the maroon pallu flows across the shoulder and forms a captivating cowl on the side, adding drama to the emerald-green base. A muted golden border runs along the hem, lending a refined finish. Paired with a layered choker, a luminous maang tikka, and bangles, the ensemble strikes a balance between heritage artistry and contemporary presentation.
