Talk about the timeless old Bollywood, silver screen glamour and you’ll hear the tale of the sizzling romance of our beloved golden couple- Rekha and Amitabh Baccchan, who could set the screen ablaze with their enigmatic chemistry, proficient acting and awe-inspiring charms that left us wonder-struck for centuries which our Hindi Cinema stands bare witness of, along with some widely lauded as well as wildly successful movies and songs.

Now on the euphoric occasion of their birthdays on 10th and 11th October, we at Tale of a Trend are all set to pay a Fashionable Tribute by our kids of glamour to our evergreen couple of silver screen starting with a hearty thanks to Ms. Aigerim Zhakypbekova Attache (Consul), Republic of Kyrgyz Embassy in India and the team of leading Hindi News Channel ABP news for joining us!

Hold your heart, my dear readers and get ready to be mesmerized with the power packed performances and poses by our delicate and daring kids.

  1. Salam-e-style 

“Aaj unke kadam is taraf kya aaye … lagta hai fiza mein bahaar aa gayi”

Let’s sail into the sea of music and storm of sound wherein our little bubbly ballerina recreated Zohra Begum from the movie Muqaddar ka Sikander. Her electric pink anarkali suit embellished with gotta patti work paired with Mughal inspired jewellery won hearts of one and all.

Just a perfect reel portray in real!  

With her little twinkling toes towards the soulful song, ‘salaam-e-ishq mere jaan’, the adorable angel just enthralled everyone! Her eyes took on a new intensity as she raised her palm in an elegant Saalam.

2. Jovial Jodi- Amit and Basanti

The legs never stand upright, the humming never stops….

You all must be confused, when does this happen?

Of course, when it’s a Punjabi peppy number of our favourite Jodi Rekha and Amitabh! I’m sure none of us can cease to stand while listening to such happening and high spirited songs. Similarly, our lovely little duo also didn’t leave any chance to flawlessly re-enact their enthusiasm and charisma. Starting from wearing the classic orange patiala and dhoti-kurta outfit to showing off their dope bhangra moves on the tunes of ‘Tere rab ne bana di Jodi’ from the movie Suhaag, the kids were just unstoppable.

3. Nostalgic Lovers- Natwarlal and Shanno

‘Jo dikhta hai voh kabhie kabhie nhi hota aur jo hota hai voh dikhta nhi’

Puzzled? Right??

Well, that’s a famous dialogue from Mr. Natwarlal to take you back to our all time favourite lover’s anthem Pardesiya ye sach hai piya! Wouldn’t you all agree that this song has never seized the opportunity to woo us away! Wait, wait, wait, till you see the groovy moves of our adorable duos with their well adorned imitation of outfit of our beloved golden couple.

Whether its Rekha’s ghaghra choli with oxidized jewellery or Amitabh’s waist coat with formal shirt and pants, our little champs just nailed it! (and we aren’t sure about you but inn bachcho ne definitely hmara dil le liyaaa)

4.  Rollicking Rekha

Khali baaton se teri,  baat na banegi Raja

Get me some flowers, get me some chocolates as I’m  18+ only for you!

With those latka, jhatkas and thumkas, sensuous Rekha is all set to show her tantrums!!

Known for her elegance and gracefulness as her strength , the legendary starlet has indeed always left us amazed with her competent acting skills and swoon worthy dance moves.

This role couldn’t have been portrayed by anyone better than our darling little dancer who wore the customised embellished black saree with jazzy jewellery and got her looks inspired from Basanti of Suhaag.

5. Donning the Don

‘O khaike paan Banaras wala. Khul jaaye band akal kaa taala’

A salute to the eternally glorious song and the iconic movie- Don!

Well portrayed relevance of Banarsi Paan by our charming little prince who gave it a boost with his cheerful performance and took it a step ahead by imitating the super style of Big B by adorning the classic white shirt and red pants paired up with the waistcoat jacket along with the red head scarf! Great going, Chota Don!!

6. Desi Diva- Khoobsurat ki Rekha

Jab miya biwi raazi, toh kya karengi maaji?’
Marriage is happiness set to music!!

Rekha’s Natkhat aadyein and this lil cutipie’s natkhat dance moves on this yet another hit song ‘sun sun didi tere liye ek riksha aaya hai’ …..sounds like a combo pack of fun and celebration to us especially when our cutipie wrapped herself in Rekha’s modest red polka dot dress and adorable pigtails leaving the audience awestruck!

7. Shehenshaah

‘Rishtey toh hum tumhare baap lgte hai, naam hai shehenshaah’ 

If there is a moniker for Amitabh Bachchan, it certainly is the Shehenshaah of Bollywood, not just because of his mystifying role in the movie but credible consideration of his legacy and unprecedented stardom in the industry today! To pay the voguish tribute to the fearless look of Big B, our Lil B right here clad his mini version of leather suit paired up with the silver arm and walked the ramp flawlessly…leaving us all wonder-struck!

8. Playful Pag

‘Pag ghungroo bandh meera nachi thi’

What about you guys? What’s your favorite dancing accessory Pag or ghungroo??

One cannot talk about the roaring ‘Namak halal’ movie without mentioning this sweetly jubiliant song and the paradigmatic performance of amusing Amitabh!

To commemorate this role our adorable little one here wore the monochrome sherwani with the cute little baby pink pagdhi to give that perfect finish!

9. Legendary Lovers- Amit and Chandni

Woh baat joh lafzo mein ada ho jaye … woh baat hi kya hui’

The bond of super hit duo has been very well showcased in their last movie ‘Silsila’ with a beautiful song ‘Ladki hai ya shola’!

Unbeatable chemistry, cascading tresses, and eyes filled with love, desire, and despair,  that’s the true embodiment of our golden couple’s persona from Silsila ! Truly inspired from awesome twosome , our sweet little pair is here to show their accolades with their mesmerizing performance and delightful attire including Rekha’s alluring pink suit, looking like a absolute shola and Big B’s neutral coloured, minimalist pantsuit!
