Hi everyone!

I’m Mehak Gulati, Runway Show Director, Fashion & Lifestyle Blogger, Content Creator and an Educator .

I’m here to spin a trendy yarn with a spectacular display of Indian traditional textiles, apparel, accessories, art and craft.

Today each one of us is wandering a fashion journey that seems to be a never-ending quest and I strongly aim to spread smiles and gaiety via Tale of a Trend by celebrating HANDCRAFTED glam in contemporary flavour. Do remember, Magnificence is handcrafted!

“In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.” This quote by the fashion visionary, COCO CHANEL, has always been my mantra to make me reside in the world of FASHION forever. People always follow the trend! But what attracts me the most is ‘preferring the other way’. You know, in today’s urbanized world, when you look different from the crowd, people notice you. So the fashion and style statements at Tale of a Trend will originate in the roots and will hit the runways, thus reversing the fashion movement.

~ Formulated a razzmatazz Fashion Extravaganza- “Purab aur Paschim” on 15th March 2022 at Radisson Blu, Delhi to celebrate Holi in hues of fashion. The opulent Fashion Extravaganza took pride in flaunting the models as young as 2.5 years of age to as experienced as the 25 years old. (Tale of a Trend Fashion Extravaganza- Season 2)

~ Showcased Treasured Traditional Textiles of India in contemporary outlook at Jashn-e-Bahar, a Fashion Extravaganza by Tale of a Trend to celebrate 75 years of Indepenence, Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 12th August 2022 at Hyatt Centric, Janakpuri, Delhi. An endeavour to educate the youth and children about glorious textile traditions and nurture their love towards them. (Tale of a Trend Fashion Extravaganza- Season 3)

~ Curated and Hosted an evening of glitz and glamour, a Fashion Extravaganza- Vintage in Vogue on 15th March 2023 at Hyatt Centric Janakpuri, Delhi to celebrate Raasleela on Ramp. An endeavour to bring back tradition with today’s twist! (Tale of a Trend Fashion Extravaganza- Season 4)

~ Showcased 2 day event- “Hues of Heritage”, a gala cultural Fashion Extravaganza and Creative Conclave in association with National Crafts Museum and Hastkala Academy, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India to celebrate National Handloom Day 2023.
